Dr. Derrick W. Denman, D.C. Our Center?s Founding Director is a "Broad-scope? practitioner. As a Chiropractic Physician for the past 16 years, Dr. Denman possesses knowledge and expertise his patients depend on. Dr. Denman is trained in the field of Clinical Nutrition; he is Certified in Acupuncture Therapy, Carpal Tunnel Adjusting, Visceral Manipulation, Applied Kinesiology, Percussor Technique, Myofacial Release, TMJ and Holistic Iridology. Dr. Denman is a graduate of Logan College of Chiropractic and uses both manual, as well as, electrical adjustment techniques (no popping or twisting) in order to facilitate the best method of healing within the patients he treats. In addition to his broad scope methods of practice, Dr. Denman has also acquired certification in specific Health Rejuvenation Protocols, teaming with his wife, to bring about change within the health care profession and to usher in the Wellness Revolution. ?Many of the patients I have seen over the course of more than 15 years have informed me that in regard to their structural problems, chiropractic was their last resort. Fortunately, I have been able to help most of these people. In most of these cases, their health problems were completely resolved or greatly improved?. Dr. Amy C. Denman, N.D. Our Center?s Director is truly a ?Doctor of the future?. As the Managing Director, Dr. Denman?s duties include assisting her Healthy Life Center clients in naturopathic detoxification, individualized vitamin and mineral assessment, naturopathic protocols, and lifestyle management. A graduate of Trinity College of Natural Health, Dr. Denman is a Board Certified Naturopath by the American Naturopathic Medical Certification Board, Inc. She is a Certified Natural Health Professional, and has earned a Masters Degree in Herbology. Her training includes, but is not limited to: Functional Endocrinology, Holistic Iridology, Colon Hydrotherapy and Proven Health Rejuvenation Protocols. Dr. Denman is a Certified Colon Hydrotherapist and is approved by I-ACT, (International Association for Colon Hydrotherapy). Dr. Denman?s extensive training in Biological Terrain Testing as well as Holistic Iridology (through the International Institute of Iridology) helps her determine client-specific wellness protocols focusing on diet and nutritional support. She is a Registered Naturopath in the District of Columbia; and holds a Naturopath License in North Carolina., and is the mother of five. As a Doctor of Naturopathy she teaches clients how to apply natural lifestyle approaches in their lives to facilitate the body?s own healing and health building potential. Her emphasis is on education, digestion, detoxification, lymphatic drainage and colon health and their relationship to her clients overall state of well being, Structurally, Nutritionally and Emotionally. ?As a Doctor of Naturopathy it is my personal goal to see each client as a whole person, Spirit, Soul and Body?not as their disease. I do not treat diseases, diagnose or prescribe drugs as this is outside of my scope of practice and is not the heart of a Naturopath. "
