Dr. Edlund received her Doctorate degree with Magna Cum Laude honors from Southern California University of Health Sciences (formerly L.A.C.C.)
During her first few years of practice, Dr. Edlund moved to Minnesota and helped develop one of the first medical/chiropractic clinics in Minnesota, a state known for its medical establishments. She has worked hand-in-hand with established and reputable medical doctors.
Dr. Edlund started private practice in 1997, and currently is the clinic director and founder of OC Back & Body Doctors (one of the fastest growing chiropractic clinics in Orange County, California).
Through her proven, posture correcting rehab program, Dr. Edlund has successfully treated thousands of people who had been diagnosed with arthritis, fibromyalgia, headaches, chronic pain, carpal tunnel, allergies, acute injuries, and TMJ (jaw problems).
She is happily fulfilling her purpose to help as many people as possible to obtain and maintain an optimum level of health and well being. She practices what she preaches by getting adjusted weekly. This keeps her healthy and pain free!
An avid spokesperson for the chiropractic profession, Dr. Edlund has made many television appearances on news programs and talk shows. She is also a prominent lecturer and co-author. Dr. Edlund is living her dream to educate the public about the science and miracles of chiropractic care!
DR. BRIAN KOWALSKI grew up in Detroit, Michigan. Having an affinity for mathematics and science, he attended the Civil Engineering Program at Wayne State University. Dr. Kowalski always realized the importance of structure and function in bridges and roads, so at the age of 22 when he decided to change his vocation he was easily able to apply this concept to chiropractic ? it is the structure of the human body that determines its function.
Dr. Kowalski attended Life Chiropractic College in Marietta, Georgia (a suburb of Atlanta) and graduated with honors. In his spare time he was on the school?s volleyball team. While practicing in Michigan he visited a friend in Huntington Beach ? and he never left. He attended Los Angeles College of Chiropractic in Whittier, California for six months to get enough credits to sit for the California state board exam and passed his first time in 1983.
He set up a successful practice in Newport Beach but was unable to expand due to space constraints. In May 2003, Dr. Brian moved his practice to OC Back & Body Doctors to further his success with Dr. Edlund?s team. Dr. Kowalski keeps the patients looking young with his one and only ?Facial Flush?. Our patients love it!!
LISA MARTUCCI M.P.T., C.M.T., Director of Physical Therapy was born and raised in Western Massachusetts. It was here that she obtained her Masters Degrees in Clinical Psychology and Physical Therapy while teaching biology at the American International College in Springfield, Massachusetts.
After College she traveled throughout Europe and Hawaii. Lisa?s free time in the Pacific Islands was spent studying the healing arts of the local people incorporating everything from Lomi Lomi to Hula and Surfing! Lisa worked as a physical therapist at the Struab Hospital on the island of Oahu and became a certified kick boxing instructor in addition to receiving her degree in Massage Therapy from the Hawaii College of Health Science. While working in Hawaii, Lisa also became a Back to Golf Specialist to service the recreational needs of the residents.
Lisa also traveled extensively throughout Asia, studying massage in Thailand and Japan, and Tai Chi in China!
She moved to Southern California 2 years ago to be closer to family. Since moving here, she has incorporated the interests of the ?Orange County locals? by becoming certified in Pilates and Yoga. Lisa?s approach to healing incorporates a wide variety of experiences with the emphasis on a healthy mind and body!
DR. JASON LEE (Accupuncturist & Chiropractor), was born in Taiwan and grew up in Huntington Beach CA. Growing up in a family which utilized Chinese Medicine, Dr. Lee has always been fascinated with the natural healing of the human body. He majored in Biology at UCLA and graduated with his Doctorate of Chiropractic and Accupuncture at Southern California University of Health Sciences (the same school as Dr. Edlund!).
Dr. Lee truly enjoys helping patients naturally as a chiropractor and an acupuncturist. He aims to balance the human body, normalize bodily function, and to strengthen vital internal organs.
With his accupuncture skills, Dr. Lee has successfully treated numerous patients with different conditions which also include Bell?s Palsy, Cerebral Palsy, Arthritis and Infertility!
JENNIFER NGUYEN graduated from Southern California University of Health Sciences as well! She is just finishing her chiropractic internship at our health clinic and once licensed will be our newest Chiropractic Doctor joining our team. In 2005 Jennifer has been assistant teaching chiropractic adjusting skills at the Chiropractic College and as a result of this experience, she has fantastic healing hands! Our patients have raved about Jennifer?s muscle work. She knows where to find your pain! Additionally, Jennifer has gained a lot of experience in Muscle and Sports Rehabilitation and enjoys working with our Physical Therapist, Lisa, in our Rehab Department!
