Amey J. Muzumdar D.C., M.S., M.B.A.

Amey, admiringly called “Dr. Gus”, was born in Hinsdale and graduated from Hinsdale Central High School. He proceeded to Benedictine University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology, a Master of Science in Clinical Exercise Physiology, and a Masters in Business Administration.

With his love for life and health, a natural progression was to enter the profession of Chiropractic Medicine and Acupuncture. He graduated from National University in 2009 with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree and a Master of Science in Acupuncture in 2010.

Dr. Gus firmly believes that when interference within the nervous system is removed via Chiropractic and blood flow is restored via Acupuncture the human body, which is a self-regulating organism, can heal naturally.

Dr. Gus’ extensive training and certification has enabled him to become a specialist in Wellness Education. He has conducted numerous educational talks for communities in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. His talks center on how to minimize Stress, reduce Chronic pain, improve Posture as well as Ergonomics, how to use Nutrition to heal, and numerous health issues using the flexibility of several modalities, in which he is accomplished.

His research in various aspects of Exercise, Fitness, and Health as it pertains to Junior and Senior High School students as well as frail seniors, has been published in Medicine and Science in Sports and Exercise in 2006 and 2007.

As the founder of Genuine Care Health and Wellness Center, he establishes a road map for optimal health and healing for every patient. Sincere services are offered consistently and enthusiastically for the betterment of his community’s health, wellbeing and the resulting empowered lifestyle.

In his spare time Dr. Gus’ love for life is manifest in his ability to cook international cuisine, enjoys listening to classical music, and is an automotive and racing buff.
