EVRL – Red/Violet
EVRL · Red + Violet handheld
Two wavelengths. One streamlined device.
Dual-wavelength versatility in a handheld platform — pain relief and a dermatological indication from a single instrument.
The EVRL combines 635 nm red and 405 nm violet in one non-thermal, precision handheld. Red carries the pain-relief indication that built Erchonia’s reputation; violet adds a dermatological indication — moderate inflammatory acne — plus anti-bacterial and anti-microbial properties. For providers who want expanded clinical versatility without a second device, the EVRL is the crossover system for practices that treat both pain and moderate inflammatory acne.

Expand beyond red
Red for the tissue. Violet for the skin.
Each diode selected for what its photon can do — not for wattage.
Red wavelength has long served as the foundation of Erchonia pain therapy: 635 nm photons absorbed by cytochrome c oxidase in the mitochondria, driving ATP production without heat. The addition of violet expands clinical capability. At 405 nm each photon carries over one and a half times the energy of red, carries a dermatological indication of its own — moderate inflammatory acne — and brings anti-bacterial and anti-microbial properties to the instrument. Both run at milliwatt power, so nothing is heated, cut or numbed.

| Diode | Photon energy | What it targets |
|---|---|---|
| 635 nm red | ~1.95 eV | Cytochrome c oxidase (Complex IV) — ATP production; musculoskeletal pain relief |
| 405 nm violet | ~3.06 eV | Dermatological pathways — moderate inflammatory acne vulgaris; anti-bacterial and anti-microbial properties |
| Red + violet together | — | Expanded protocol flexibility, broader patient application and clinical differentiation — all delivered through non-thermal visible light |
Expanded protocol flexibility. Broader patient application. Clinical differentiation in competitive practices — all delivered through non-thermal visible light, without tissue heating.
Why clinics choose it
Why clinics choose the EVRL
The workhorse handheld for practices that want more than red.
01
Dual-wavelength technology
Red and violet in a single instrument — expanded protocol flexibility beyond red alone, with a second cleared indication on the same device.
02
Pain and dermatology
Red for pain relief, violet for moderate inflammatory acne — a crossover system for practices that treat both, without buying two devices.
03
Portable, non-thermal, no consumables
A handheld that moves room to room; no thermal monitoring, no cooldown cycles; and after acquisition, the marginal cost of a session is room time.
FDA indications for use
Indications for use (K152196)
The Erchonia® EVRL laser is generally indicated:
- Using the red diode: adjunctive use in providing temporary relief of minor chronic neck and shoulder pain of musculoskeletal origin
- Using the violet diode: to treat dermatological conditions, specifically moderate inflammatory acne vulgaris
Prescription use (21 CFR 801 Subpart D). Intended for medical professionals.

Where it works
Built for the crossover practice
Where the EVRL is most often integrated.

01
Chiropractic
The handheld that follows the adjustment on the same table — red for the segment you just worked, in the same visit.

02
Acupuncture
Red for the pain complaint, violet for the acne patient — a non-invasive layer inside the appointment you already booked, within the device’s cleared indications.

03
Family and integrative practice
Musculoskeletal pain and moderate acne from the same handheld — a drug-free adjunct with a dermatological indication built in.
