FX 405 Laser

FX 405 · Red + Violet scanner

The FX platform, with violet.

Everything the FX 635 does — plus a violet diode for more energy per photon, and a postoperative pain indication of its own.

The FX 405 laser scanner offers all of the benefits of the FX 635 with the advantage of violet laser for versatility in treatment. Beyond its anti-bacterial and anti-microbial properties, violet produces more energy per photon — and research shows the combination of violet and red results in greater pain relief. Violet also enhances reactive oxygen species (ROS) signaling, which plays an important role in facilitating pain and inflammation reduction. Four line-generating diodes, two adjustable arms, hands-free.

Why add violet

More energy per photon. Greater pain relief.

Red drives the mitochondrial cascade. Violet adds energy, ROS signaling and anti-microbial properties.

The FX 405 uses low-level laser technology and patented laser diode arms to precisely target pain centers. The body absorbs the light energy, which drives the cell’s mitochondria to produce more ATP. Adding violet changes the arithmetic: each 405 nm photon carries over one and a half times the energy of a red photon, research shows the red-violet combination results in greater pain relief, and violet’s enhancement of reactive oxygen species signaling supports pain and inflammation reduction. Because the laser is non-thermal and works at milliwatt power, patients remain awake, with no burning, scarring or downtime.

An FX 405 scanner positioned over a patient’s shoulder
DiodePhoton energyWhat it adds
640 nm red~1.94 eVCytochrome c oxidase — ATP production; the FX Series pain platform; postoperative pain (red alone)
405 nm violet~3.06 eVMore energy per photon; ROS signaling for pain and inflammation reduction; anti-bacterial and anti-microbial properties
Red + violet together—Greater pain relief than red alone — the nociceptive musculoskeletal pain indication

This is energy advancement — not power escalation. Four low-power diodes, two wavelengths, one hands-free protocol.

Why clinics choose it

Why clinics choose the FX 405

The FX platform’s workflow with the line’s most energetic photon added.

01

Two wavelengths, hands-free

Red and violet from four line-generating diodes on two adjustable arms — set the geometry, start the protocol, see the next patient.

02

A postoperative indication

Cleared as an adjunctive treatment of postoperative pain with the red diodes — a drug-free layer in the recovery plan, delivered without a provider in the room.

03

Violet’s extra properties

Anti-bacterial and anti-microbial, more energy per photon, and enhanced ROS signaling — the versatility the FX 635 doesn’t have.

FDA indications for use

Indications for use (K231409)

The Erchonia® FX-405 laser is generally indicated:

  • While using the red and violet diodes: for the adjunctive use in providing temporary relief of nociceptive musculoskeletal pain
  • While using the red diodes: as an adjunctive treatment of postoperative pain

Prescription use (21 CFR 801 Subpart D). Intended for medical professionals.
